The Dictionary of Massachusetts History - is a new approach to the study of United States History from state to region, to nation¿documenting Massachusetts History from the bottom up.With over 300,000 words on people, places, and events, it will be the largest single reference source on Massachusetts History ever published.The Dictionary of Massachusetts History that includes the following sections:Introduction to Massachusetts History by a noted historian on each Massachusetts's history.Geography and Topography - This section describes Massachusetts 's distinctive physical properties.Early History - Begins before recorded Massachusetts 's and continues up until early explorations.History - An essay beginning with the earliest explorers and documenting the Massachusetts 's history through contemporary times.Chronology - Historical information about the state displayed in an easy-to-read timeline that begins before recorded history.Dictionary - Alphabetically arranged articles of people, places, and events that are important to the history of the Massachusetts.Bibliography and Index
